Commissioner JMC Ms. Mandeep Kaur, IAS paid a surprise visit at Municipal Animal Care Centre, Roop Nagar Jammu to access the functioning of the Centre. Municipal Veterinary Officer, Dr. Zaffar Iqbal apprised her that 10 dogs were sterilized today. She appreciated the improvement shown in Sterilization of dogs and also satisfied with the sanitation conditions of the centre. The Commissioner pointed out in respect of some incomplete minor civil works and issued on spot instructions to the Executive Engineer and A.E.E (Civil), JMC to complete these works on priority. She also asked the Municipal Veterinary Officer to suggest measures to enhance the efficiency of Municipal Animal Care Centre so that the Public in general could get relief from the stray dogs/animals.
