Complying with the instructions of Housing & Urban Development Department, Thematic Cleanliness drive in all popular forest sanctuaries, reserved forest areas, parks and animals welfare establishments. Jammu Municipal Corporation on the directions of Ms. Mandeep Kour (I.A.S.) Commissioner JMC and R.S. Jamwal (K.A.S.) Joint Commissioner (A) conducted a drive in the Municipal Park at Parade, Jammu.
The drive was launched by Dr. Zaffar Iqbal Municipal Veterinary Officer/Zonal Officer Sanitation, Zozne-II JMC and Sh. Darshan Kumar Sanitation Officer in the presence of locals of the area besides other supervisory sanitation staff of JMC.
During this drive thorough sweeping of park foot path was done and about a one vehicle of garbage was collected and lifted by the SKCs deployed.
Senior citizens and other locals including children of the area appreciated the drive launched by JMC as huge garbage was accumulated in the park due to the strong winds and rains occurred a few days back. They also requested to install the dustbins in the park for the disposal of the garbage. The M.V.O. assured them that the garbage containers will be installed within shortest possible timer.
The drive will remain in force in other areas till conclusion of the Thematic Cleanliness Drive.
