Press Release on 31st October 2021Jammu Municipal Corporation conducts a fogging drive by covering every nook and corner of the Jammu city to stop spreading of Dengue.
To further intensify the ongoing fogging drive, JMC has been covering each area falling within its jurisdiction keeping in view the increasing cases of dengue in Jammu city as per the directions of commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation and under overall supervision of Health Officer, as per the daily schedule prepared for the purpose. The drives are being undertaking with the cooperation of Anti malaria wing.
Commissioner, JMC Ms. Avny Lavasa (IAS) has issued clear cut directions to health wing of JMC to put in place the sufficient number of men and machinery so that every nook and corner of the city can be covered in respect of fogging to avoid the chances of dengue, as cases of Dengue are on the higher sides in Jammu. The aim of launching fogging drive is to eradicate the breeding of mosquitoes responsible of dengue.
The inhabitants as well as different market associations appreciated the efforts of JMC and also assured their whole hearted cooperation to JMC to undertake such kinds of activities/ drives to make Jammu Dengue free.
The Commissioner appealed the general public to come forward and extend their helping hands to JMC so that Dengue can be eradicated from Jammu and also added that residents should pay attention that waste water should not be accumulated which is a main cause of Dengue.
