A meeting to review preparation of reforms proposals under AMRUT Mission in 2015-16 and 2016-17 was held under the chairmanship of Sh. Hirdesh Kumar Singh(IAS), Commissioner/Secretary to Govt., Housing & Urban Development Department wherein Dr. Manmohan Singh (KAS), Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation gave detailed power point presentation about reforms and milestones achieved under AMRUT Mission in the Jammu City.
Main purpose of the Mission is to improve governance through a set of 11 Reforms by providing incentives based on performance. These are to be implemented by all the States and 500 Mission cities within a period of 5 years (2015-16 to 2019-20). The State has to submit the roadmap of implementation as part of the State Annual Action Plan (SAAP), which will include Reforms to be implemented at both the State and Urban Local Bodies (ULB) levels.
The meeting was attended by Managing Director, J&K Housing Board, Ms. Vipra Bhal, Ms. Promila Bhalla, Associate, Town & Country Planning, Town and Country Planning Organization, MOUD, Govt. of India, R.S. Jamwal (KAS), Joint Commissioner (A), Neeraj Gupta,(KAS), Chief Accounts Officer, Kushal Chand Joint Commissioner (W), and representatives of Anantnag, Leh, Ladakh, Srinagar and Jammu.
