Press Release on 27-04-2017JMC alongwith SPCB initiate clean & green Jammu awareness drive at Trikuta Nagar with community participation
A community participation program to achieve target of Clean & green Jammu was organized jointly by Jammu Municipal Corporation & State Pollution Control Board with the support of Youth Nature Club Central University Jammu & in association with Senior citizens Trikuta Nagar Jammu & BJP Mahila Morcha workers. The motive of the program was clean Jammu Green Jammu & to work jointly towards achieving zero waste target. Er. Ravi Kiran Badola, Environmentalist from Hyderabad started this ride from Kanyakumari to Kashmir on cycle covering 6500 Km and today he reached Jammu on his mission Swachh Bharat Mission.
Sh. R.S. Jamwal, Joint Commissioner (A), JMC, Dr. Anita Salgotra, Health Officer, Mrs. Anuradha Gupta Scientist State Pollution Control board Jammu flagged off Cycle ride from Trikuta Nagar Jammu to Kashmir.
The Joint Commissioner (A) JMC appreciated Er. Ravi Kumar who took this initiative for cycle ride from Kanyakumari to Kashmir covering a distance of nearly 6500 Km to spread the message of Clean India Green India, Save Water, Save Energy, Plant more and more trees etc. among the common masses. A memento for this great initiative was also presented to Er. Ravi Kumar by the Joint Commissioner (A), JMC.
This initiative was also appreciated by Mrs. Anuradha Gupta Scientist State Pollution Control Board Jammu. She appreciated and heartedly supported Er. Ravi Kumar for spreading the message of Swachh Bharat and to create mass awareness for cleanliness and also offer technical support from State Pollution Control Board Jammu.
Health Officer JMC, welcomed the cyclist for this great initiative and also offered full support & best wishes from Jammu Municipal Corporation for the success of his initiative.
The others who present on this occasion S. Prithi Pal Singh Sanitation Officer, Sh. Kumar Kant Sharma Asstt. Sanitation Officer, S. Hardeep Singh, Sanitary Inspector from JMC side.
President Bal Krishan Gupta, General Secretary Ashok Kalsotra, Cashier Dalip Gupta among others senior citizen Trikuta Nagar were present.
Smt. Purnima Sharma President Bharitya Janta Party Mahila Morcha, Sate Secretary Smt. Neena Gupta alongwith their volunteer participated in the function and ensure their full support to JMC for their endeavour for clean Jammu Green Jammu. They have also announce that their volunteers will assist Municipal Corporation in the cleanliness drive on every Saturday in one ward.
