Mr. Arvind Kotwal (KAS) earlier posted as Chief Executive Officer, Tourism Development Authority (Surinsar and Mansar) today took over as the new Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation.
Mr. Ramesh Kumar (IAS), Former Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation ( Now Deputy Commissioner, Jammu) handed over the charge of Commissioner, JMC to Mr. Arvind Kotwal (KAS). The officers/ employees accorded warm welcome on his joining, after taking over the charge, Mr. Arvind Kotwal (KAS), Commissioner, JMC interacted with the officers and officials and took an account of the projects, assignments currently being undertaken by and/or under the supervision of the JMC.
While interacting with the officers, Mr. Arvind Kotwal (KAS) stressed for improving sanitation scenario in Jammu City and added that his main focus shall be on development and to make the city clean and green. He further stated that addressing the grievances of people related to lanes, drains, sanitation and street lights will be his priority. He sought cooperation of all the Officers/employees of Jammu Municipal Corporation so that basic facilities which are essential part of JMC could be provided to the citizens of the in a most effective manner.
