Hon’ble Mayor Sh. Chander Mohan Gupta and Hon’ble Deputy Mayor Ms. Purnima Sharma today on 22.11.2018 chaired a review meeting of Jammu Municipal Corporation and working of various sections of Jammu Municipal Corporation in the conference Hall of JMC.
In the meeting, Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation Sh. Arvind Kotwal and other Sectional Heads of Corporation were present. During the meeting Hon’ble Mayor and Deputy Mayor reviewed section wise working detail. Detail of revenue generated in JMC and shortcomings were discussed. Latest status of vacant posts as well as proposal for new posts was also discussed.
Hon’ble Mayor issued instruction to all the Sectional Heads to resolve all the issues of their respective sections in order to ensure proper redressal of grievances of general public. Apart from ensuring proper animal care, MVO was directed to process for improvement of licensed dairies, maintaining their hygienic conditions and to ensure that no cow dung be thrown in the pubic drains. The unlicensed dairies should be penalized. Meat shops should be in proper hygienic conditions and meat should be displayed within the shop.
While taking review of the Health Section, both Hon’ble Mayor and Deputy Mayor issued instructions to Health Officer and his team to have proper check in the field and submit report on daily basis. Instructions were issued to Informatics Officer that online public redressal cell should be restored and complaints are redressed within 24 hours.
Both Mayor and Deputy Mayor stressed upon to fill vacant posts in various sections so that working of every section is improved. They also issued instructions to speed up the process of recruitment of SKCs and tools be provided to SKCs for better results in their field. They also stressed upon strengthening of Enforcement Wing of JMC. Awareness camps to be organized in each wards.
Hon’ble Mayor also issued instructions to Building Section of JMC to review building plans for old city so that the needy person in old city can build their houses with prior permission from JMC.
To maintain the sanitary conditions of the City of Temples, Hon’ble Mayor stressed upon to start night scavenging program. Hon’ble Deputy Mayor asked the authorities to focus on special school and hospital for the children of Safai karmacharies of JMC. Deputy Mayor also stressed upon to check the quality work of the works going on in the Jammu City.
Both Mayor and Deputy Mayor also stressed upon the authorities to work on separate Project Division exclusively for Major Projects to make Jammu a real Smart City.
Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation assured Hon’ble Mayor and Deputy Mayor that all the officers shall work with zeal and dedication to achieve the desired goals.
