Commissioner, JMC reviews developmental works being undertaken by JMC.

Mr. Pankaj Magotra (KAS), Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation conducted an extensive tour of Jammu City and inspected the ongoing Projects under Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) as well as developmental works of the Corporation being executed at different sites. He gave on the spot directions to the concerned officers for completion of ongoing developmental works in a time bound manner and also directed them to come up with solution for handling bottlenecks, if any, for their early resolution.

The Commissioner further stressed upon the completion of the Rs. 100.74 crore projects being undertaken by JMC under AMRUT, these projects will play a vital role in transforming urban landscaping.

The Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation while taking stock of drainage projects being constructed under AMRUT in Jammu City at Prem Nagar, Christian Graveyard, Jewel Chowk, M.A. Stadium, GGM Science College and Sharika Vihar, Talab Tillo, Jammu directed the Executive Engineer, UEED to complete the under construction nallahs so that there is no hue and cry situation especially in monsoon season. He further directed the PDD and UEED staff for having close coordination in shifting of PDD utilities coming in the alignment of deep drains/nallahs.

He also took stock of the Town Hall Complex and directed the concerned Sectional Heads of JMC for maintenance of proper sanitation as well as maintaining their official records in a proper manner especially the Vital Statistics (Birth/Death) and Election sections of JMC.

He further appealed the general public not to throw the construction material into the nallahs which is a main cause of choking, resulting into over flowing of the nallahs and sought cooperation of the general public in making the Jammu city neat, clean, green and beautiful.

Among others Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Superintending Engineer, UEED, Mr. Mohd. Taj Chowdhary, Executive Engineer, UEED and field staff of UEED and JMC also accompanied the Commissioner, JMC during the tour.
