Today Sh. Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor, JMC conducted a Press Conference in presence of Sh. Pankaj Magotra, Commissioner, JMC, Sh. Ashish Kumar Gupta, Joint Commissioner (A), Sh. Joginder Sharma, CAO, Dr. Zaffar Iqbal, MVO JMC.
During the Press Conference Mayor JMC said that JMC through print and electronic media wants to convey the message among the general masses especially to the owner of open plots to provide toilet facility to the labour class (Juggiwalas) falling which necessary strict action against them shall be initiated as per the JMC Act, 2000. JMC is working seriously and responsibly round the clock to ensure proper sanitation in entire City. While replying to a question of a Journalist regarding inadequate street lights facilities in some areas. The Mayor JMC and Commissioner, JMC ensure that street lights shall be provided to each nook and corner within the limits of JMC and directions in this regard has been issued to the concerned wing so that all the limits of JMC may become free from dark zones. A MoU stands signed with Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) for installing new lights by replacing old lights. They further added that JMC is also putting every possible effort to provide basic civic amenities to the residents of the City and for this the cooperation of the general public is also required to achieve the goal.
