Press Release on 19th December 2019Drive against illegal and unauthorized constructions within Jammu Municipal Corporation limits.
On the instructions of Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Sh. Pankaj Magotra (KAS), JMC and under the supervision of Joint Commissioner (A), JMC, Sh. Ashish Kumar Gupta, the Enforcement wing of JMC conducted a drive against the illegal and unauthorized constructions within Jammu Municipal Corporation limits. Mr. Rakesh Puri, AEO, and Mr. Arun Nayar, I/C Ward No. 71 and other enforcement staff of JMC also accompanied the drive.
During the drive in Sidhra area, it has been found that one residential construction was going on and shuttering work for lentel was being undertaken by the owner without seeking prior permission from Jammu Municipal Corporation. The whole structure was demolished by the combine efforts of Enforcement and Transport wing of JMC on spot.
Municipal authorities once again appeal to all the Jammu City dwellers to refrain from any act of unauthorized construction and encroachments shall be dealt firmly by demolition / sealing and requested the general public to support the Municipal Corporation’s endeavors to make city clean and organized.
