Complying with the instructions of Housing & Urban Development Department to start Thematic Cleanliness drive in all popular forest sanctuaries, reserved forest areas, parks and animals welfare establishments :- 1st – 15th June 2016 Jammu Municipal Corporation on the directions of Ms. Mandeep Kour (I.A.S.) Commissioner JMC and R.S. Jamwal (K.A.S.) Joint Commissioner (A) conducted a drive today on 11-06-2016 in the Suryavanshi Park Opp. Police Station Janipur Jammu.
The drive was launched by Dr. Zaffar Iqbal Municipal Veterinary Officer JMC and Sh. Darshan Kumar Sanitation Officer in the presence of locals of the area besides other supervisory sanitation staff of JMC.
During this drive thorough sweeping of park foot path was done about one vehicle of garbage was collected and lifted by the SKCs deployed.
Senior citizens Thakur Ranjit Singh and other locals of the area appreciated the drive launched by JMC as huge garbage was accumulated in the park due to the strong winds and rains occurred yesterday. They also requested to install two dustbins in the park for the disposal of the garbage. The M.V.O. assured them to install the same in the shortest time.
The drive will remain continue in which other areas will also be covered till its conclusion on 15th June 2016.
