Press Release on 28th August 2021JMC seize on un-registered septic tank cleaning vehicle.
Today on the directions of Commissioner, JMC, the Chief Transport Officer, Zone-III conducted a tour at Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu and found that one private un-registered septic tank vehicle bearing registration no. JK02A-4145 was de-sluding the faecal sludge in open drain near DRDO Covid Hospital and the said vehicle has been seized by JMC. JMC has issued a public notice that all the private septic tank cleaning vehicles are to be registered with Jammu Municipal Corporation and faecal sludge should not be disposed off in open and if any un-registered septic tank cleaning found plying within the limits of JMC the same shall be seized and penalty as per relevant sections shall be imposed on the defaulters.
The Commissioner, JMC further appealed to all the private septic tank cleaning vehicle owners to register themselves with JMC as no registered private vehicles shall be allowed to ply within the limits of JMC and lead to seizure of un-registered vehicles.
