Press Release on 15th February 2022“Training of JMC Auto drivers regarding Waste Collection and Segregation”
Jammu Municipal Corporation today organized an awareness training session at the Transport Yard of JMC at Manda.
The aim of the training session was to educate the Municipal Waste collection vehicle drivers with the concept of 100% Door to door collection of segregated Municipal waste.
Moreover, Health Officer JMC - Sanjogita Soodan emphasized the basics i.e roles & responsibilities of auto drivers, importance of punctuality and consistent efforts for assigned responsibilities.
The training session was focused on Solid waste collection where the drivers were trained to collect Dry and wet waste separately and to know the importance of Route plan for primary collection of waste including Starting point, Start time, Waiting points & End point.
The training concluded with a pledge where a formal promise was made by the drivers to follow the basic instructions and help Jammu Municipal Corporation achieve a better ranking in Swachh Survekshan.
The dignitaries present in the event included Health Officer JMC – Dr. Sanjogita Soodan, Sanitation officer (Zone 3) – Rajinder Kumar and Chief Transport Officer – Talat Mehmood in the presence of Commissioner JMC – Avny Lavasa (IAS).
