The Executive Committee meeting of Jammu Municipal Corporation under the Chairmanship of Sh. Chander Mohan Gupta, Mayor, JMC was held on 19-02-2022 in the Conference Hall of Jammu Municipal Corporation in which a number of important decisions were taken. Apart from these, a discussion over identification of land & location of street vendors, Delimitation & Demarcation of 75 wards, Railings to be installed at congested foot paths along with strengthening the drive against use of Polythene bags was undertaken.
Further, directions were given to urgently streamline the working of election section of JMC by way of computerizing the record as well engagement of necessary staff through outsourcing on urgent basis in order to provide relief to the general public who visit JMC for getting their voter lists, voter cards etc. Officers from PDD, Jal Shakti Department, Health Services and UEED/NBCC were apprised regarding the various concerns of General Public like removal of damaged electric poles, better facilities at Health Centres, curbing the wastage of drinking water, dedicated feeders to various water pumping stations and blockages in Manholes in UEED/NBCC sewerage lines were stressed upon so that a relief can be provided to the General Public in upcoming season.
