The Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, Ms. Avny Lavasa (IAS) conducted a tour of Ward No. 9 accompanied by the concerned Officers of JMC alongwith concerned Councillor, Sh. Suneet Kumar during the tour, the Commissioner visited areas of the ward and observed the sanitation scenario of the areas of the said ward and also took stock of lanes and drains. The Commissioner, JMC directed the Executive Engineer concerned for preparing the estimates for the lanes/drains which requires immediate repair/renovation to ease the sufferings of the residents and she also issued on spot directions the Sanitation Officer/staff for providing proper sanitation in the ward.
The residents of the ward appreciated the Commissioner, JMC for conducting tour of their ward and also to listen their grievances patiently and residents assured that they shall provide full cooperation to Jammu Municipal Corporation for better well being of the ward.
The Commissioner, JMC further appealed to all residents of the city to come forward and join hands with Jammu Municipal Corporation so that we can jointly work for making our city no. 1 in respect of sanitation scenario and also avoid using of polythene carry bags and throwing of C&D waste into nallahs which is a major cause of choking of nallahs resulting into sufferings for the residents. She further added that Swachhata Survekshan has started and every citizen should download the app and give their feedback so that the ranking of Jammu City is improved on all India level.
