Press Release on 29th August 2022An awareness programme by Veterinary section of JMC in collaboration with “Bezubaan Ka Sahara”
An awareness cum interaction programme was organized by Veterinary section of JMC in collaboration with “Bezubaan Ka Sahara” – a group of Local Animal Activists/ Volunteers headed by Sh. Anmol Mahajan at Vishwakarma Mandir, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu. The main motive of the programme was to aware the general public regarding the importance of Animal Birth Control Program being implemented by JMC in collaboration with Friendicoes-SECA in all the 75 wards of Municipal Corporation, Jammu and its impact on society.
MVO, JMC Dr. Sushil Kumar Sharma aware the gathering regarding various Animal Welfare activities being run by the Jammu Municipal Corporation and emphasized on better coordination among all the stakeholders for the effective implementation of Animal Birth Control Program within JMC limits, so that stray dog population can be controlled in a time bound manner and which will also curb the spread of rabies both in humans as well as animals. MVO, JMC further appreciated the roles of Animal Welfare Organizations, Animal Activists/ Volunteers for organizing such programs, as it envisages to propagate the awareness upto the grass root level and which is very important for the successful implementation of ABC programs.
Dr. Ashok Yadav, ABC Incharge Friendicoes-SECA also thrown light on various aspects of ABC/ ARV program and requested for cooperation from the Resident Welfare Associations and Local animal activists for the effective implementation of ABC program in Jammu city. Miss Namrata Hakhoo, Founder/ Chairperson Hakhoo Street Animals Foundation also spoke during the program.
Sh. Tarun Sharma Founder & President, Nat Manch & Incharge Cultural Cell BJYM J&K, Sh. Rakesh Chalotra, President Vishwakarma Sabha, J&K and various other Animal Activists/ Volunteers and locals of Bakshi Nagar were also present and graced the event.
