Today continuing the trend a Nukkad Natak on necessity of Sanitation and management of solid waste management, polythene free city and plantation drive was organized by Jammu Municipal Corporation in the Green Belt Park, Ward No. – 20, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Hon’ble Deputy Mayor, Sh. Baldev Billawaria, Hon’ble Chairpersons of standing committees Sh. Raj Kumar Tarkhan, Sh. Ajay Gupta & Hon’ble Ex-Mayor, JMC Sh. Chander Mohan Gupta ji, Hon’ble Corporator Sh. Sham Basson remained present along with officers, staff members and a large number of prominent citizens were present on the occasion.
Deputy Mayor, JMC while speaking on the occasion stressed the need to restrict use of plastic carry bags and stressed upon the need to adopt habit of using cloth bags. He requested everyone to plant atleast one tree in their area to make the environment clean and green.
In an another event, Interactive session with the officer's of Jammu Municipal Corporation regarding Corruption Free India held under the guidance of Hon'ble Mayor, Jammu in the conference Hall of JMC under My Town My Pride 2.0. Mayor, Jammu stressed upon to curb the menace of corruption from the society. He said that this is the need of the hour and every officer, staff member and every citizen shall make this a mass movement and shall work with coordinated efforts to bring pragmatic change. He said everyone should participate whole heartedly to eliminate corruption from our society. He further said that corruption is the main obstacle in the development of our country.
Under My Town My Pride Bicycle rally is organized by Jammu Municipal Corporation from General Bus Stand Jammu to Kala Kender wherein Commissioner, JMC, Sh. Rahul Yadav, Joint Commissioner (R&E), JMC, Sh. Hitesh Gupta and many other officers/officials participated. The objective of the rally is to bring awareness among the general public towards maintain sanitation and Keep Jammu City clean and green.
Large number of Public Service delivery camps organized by Jammu Municipal Corporation under My Town My Pride in order to provide services at doorstep. All the online services of Jammu Municipal Corporation are being provided in these camps. Officials of other line departments like Handicraft, J&K Bank, JUDA, Skill development, Social Welfare etc are also present in the camps to bring awareness among the public regarding schemes of their respective departments.
